"This album is dedicated to the life of Adam Sagan who passed on December 7th, 2016 during the final stages of production. This as we know is the last known work that Adam contributed and played on. Adams talent, passion and personality is woven throughout every part of this record as he was easily 1/3 of the creative force."

"Nocturnes and Requiems which was a name that Adam eerily came up with one evening when we were figuring out album titles would not have sounded the way it does now without his immense contribution on and off the drums. Adam we love you and
it's a tragedy that you were not able to see this release. You will always and forever be a member of Witherfall."

Adam was one of my best friends. Even after death he still keeps me driven towards my goals. He is missed everyday.

Every Friday night I'd see Adam at his practice space pounding away on his drums either learning new tunes/writing parts or focusing strictly on technique. My band and I would pound on his door to say hi and he was always happy to see us even though we were interrupting him. A warm smile and a hand shake, a few laughs and we'd meander to our space never thinking anything of it. He worked harder than any musician I've ever known and was very dedicated to his craft. It's a tragic loss and I cherish those encounters as well as seeing him at local shows and every time I stopped in to the Guitar Center he worked at. I always went out of my way to visit his and a few other friend's store. He had such good energy as a person and it saddens me cancer had to take him so young. He was bound to accomplish amazing things. A man who was never afraid to chase his dream and was always in beast mode. For that I have huge amounts of respect for him and I know he lived a full life no matter how short it ended up being. I look up to him to this day.

Adam was the drummer in our first band, Bleu Treason. I'll never forget the first time I met him. A few buddies and I had been rehearsing for several weeks and we had been looking for a drummer. During a rehearsal break one evening, we walked a block over to the local Subway to get a sandwich. Adam was working behind the counter and overheard us taking about needing a drummer. He chimed up and explained that he was a drummer. We were all in our early 20's and got a kick out of this 17 year old kid wanting to come jam with us. He handed us a business card with his phone number that read "Adam Sagan... Drummer Extraordinaire". At that time, we didn't have any other options so we arranged a time for him to come over and jam. He set up his kit and started playing. We were blown away. He was an absolute monster on the drums... Even then. The rest is history. Beyond being an amazing drummer, he was also a genuinely great dude. He was wise way beyond his years. We even talked his mom into letting him move to the Wisconsin Dells with us between his junior and senior year of high school. I still think she was crazy for letting us, but it worked out. Eventually we ended up in Madison, WI and got the original band back together. There was never any doubt that Adam was destined to make the music thing his life... He lived the dream. I'm really gonna miss him. RIP Adam.

Will not forget seeing Adam at show and also always being greeted with a hand shake and smile at GC. Remember spending some time with Adam and Ask Stevens at a friends studio. He was a great guy everyone meandered out to the studio but he and I spent quite a while talking about touring, Lemmy, and recording. He was an amazing musician in addition to being a great guy and very humble it is very sad his journey was cut short but be will never be forgotten .

Adam will be missed and loved forever. His death was so crushing to all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. Cancer steals the brightest lights from our world and sadly Adams light was taken from us. Keep his memory and music alive and as long as we remember he will always be with us.
